Gather with the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart in Frankfort, Illinois, for a Blessing of Pets and Gifts of Creation at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024. The event will be held outside in front of the motherhouse lobby at St. Francis Woods, 9201 W. St. Francis Road. Pets of all kinds (on a leash or in a carrier) are welcome. Attendees can also bring special plants, seeds, stones, seashells and any item made from Earth's resources that they would like blessed. All are welcome to stroll the grounds before and after the event.
